Wings over started with a simple craving and an unstoppable passion. Our founder Marcus Webb grew up flipping wings at family cookouts in Commerce, TX — a small town with big appetites. What began as Sunday backyard sessions became something the whole neighborhood talked about.

In 2014, Marcus turned his backyard obsession into a brick-and-mortar dream at 1613 State Hwy 50. The response was immediate — lines out the door on day one. Today, Wings over has served hundreds of thousands of wing lovers across Texas, building a community one saucy order at a time.

2012
The Backyard Begins
Marcus Webb starts experimenting with wing recipes at family cookouts in Commerce, TX. His signature honey-buffalo sauce becomes a neighborhood legend — friends won't stop asking for more.
2014
Wings over Opens Its Doors
After two years of recipe refinement, Marcus opens the first Wings over location at 1613 State Hwy 50. Opening day sees a line stretching around the block. Local media calls it "the wing spot Commerce didn't know it needed."
2016
Menu Expansion & First Awards
We introduce 12 new sauce flavors and launch our signature loaded fries and coleslaw sides. Wings over wins "Best Wings in East Texas" at the Regional Food Excellence Awards — our first of many accolades.
2018
Online Ordering & Delivery Launch
We roll out our full online ordering and delivery platform, bringing Wings over to customers' doorsteps across Commerce and surrounding areas. Orders double within the first six months.
2020
Community Through Challenges
During a difficult year for restaurants, Wings over pivots to focus fully on delivery and catering for essential workers and local families. We donate over 5,000 wing meals to frontline healthcare teams across Hunt County.
2022
Catering & Franchise Program Launches
Responding to growing demand, Wings over launches a full catering service for events, weddings, and corporate gatherings — and opens our franchise program to bring the Wings over experience to new markets across Texas.
2024 — Today
